Caleb Wilson
Wilson is the most athletic play finisher in the draft, using a springy vertical and long frame to make highlight plays around the rim. His high motor helps him get anywhere on the court in a hurry, whether he's running rim to rim for a transition opportunity or making splash plays on the defensive end. Wilson's blend of all-out effort, fluid movement, and flashes of passing vision makes him a tantalizing forward prospect despite his shortcomings as a jump shooter.
Strengths:
Impressive athlete who thrives in transition as a play finisher.
Scores in isolation in the mid-range with an array of fadeaways, spin moves, and pivots.
Lob threat as a cutter and roll man in a halfcourt setting.
Uses his length on defense to block shots and force turnovers.
Quick jumping ability and relentless effort helps him rebound the ball well on both ends.
Capable of making high-level passes out of the post and in transition.
Weaknesses:
Lacks an efficient long-range jump shot at this point of his development.
Tendency to hunt splash plays on defense which can lead to him being out of position.
Can be loose with his handle when operating in traffic.
Susceptible to getting pushed off his spot in the post given his lack of strength.
