Noah Penda

Penda is a versatile forward with a filled-out frame and impressive tools as a defender. On offense, Penda can use his strength to attack mismatches and play through contact in the paint. He has advanced passing chops for a forward that plays mostly off the ball. Penda needs to improve his consistency as a shooter and tighten up his handle to have more of an impact on the offensive end.

Strengths:

Switchable defender who has a knack for causing turnovers.
Strong frame that helps him as a driver and when defending in the post.
Hard to stop when he gets moving downhill. Smart when attacking mismatches and has the ability to play through contact.
High-IQ passer who has a feel for finding open teammates.
Crashes the glass on both ends of the floor and is a physical rebounder.

Weaknesses:

Lacks vertical pop, which limits his ability as a finisher around the rim.
Despite improvements, still lacks consistency from three-point range.
Limited upside as an off-the-dribble scorer given his lack of quickness with the ball in his hands.
Could improve his shooting mechanics. He has a slight pause at his set point and would benefit from a quicker release.
