Tre Johnson
Tre Johnson is a gifted shotmaker with unwavering confidence. He led a loaded SEC conference in scoring as a freshman and can catch fire from three-point range at any moment. Johnson will need to improve as a defender and pack some size onto his slight frame in order to help his transition to the NBA. His off the dribble scoring and pure shooting stroke make him an enticing prospect for any team that’s looking to add some scoring juice.
Strengths:
Knockdown three point shooter with a quick release.
Smooth handle and the ability hit off the dribble jumper from mid range and beyond the arc.
Moves well off the ball and knows how to navigate screens to get open jumpers.
Can operate pick and roll and find open teammates.
Weaknesses:
Tendency to force contested shots against tight defense. Still has room to grow as a playmaker.
Limited finisher who has difficulties playing through contact.
Inconsistent on-ball defender. Didn’t force many turnovers or block shots.
Lacks athleticism, which caps his upside as a slasher and defender.
