Yaxel Lendeborg
Lendeborg is an athletic forward with an enticing all-around set of skills. He stands out defensively on tape, racking up steals and blocks while also showing flashes of guarding 1-4. He sits low in a stance when applying ball pressure, moving well laterally and playing with physicality. On offense, Lendeborg can finish plays around the basket and is a strong cutter. Additionally, he has improved as a spot-up shooting threat and has repeatable jumper mechanics. The main knock on Lendeborg is that he isn't the most gifted offensive creator and will be 24 at the start of his rookie season.
Strengths:
Switchable defender with impressive length, strength, and lateral quickness.
Athletic play finisher who cuts well and is efficient in transition.
Effective rebounder who crashes the glass hard on both ends of the court.
Improved spot-up shooter who has a strong base and repeatable mechanics.
Above-average passing vision for a bigger forward.
Weaknesses:
Doesn’t profile as much of a shot creator at the next level.
Still has inconsistent moments as a shooter and would benefit from quicker mechanics..
Can be overly aggressive on the defensive end, leading to being out of position or fouling too often.
One of the older prospects in the draft, turning 24 before his rookie season.
